Fiber Cable Series
The fiber cable series covers the cable side of the catalogue: CPRI cables and fiber optic patch cords. Its published titles are the CPRI cable SM 60m, the CPRI cable MM 3m and the fiber optic patch cord SM. Of those, only the CPRI cable SM 60m carries published characteristics, and it has its own detail page. The CPRI cable MM 3m and the fiber optic patch cord SM are listed here at series level, with no figures invented for them.
Cables are often treated as an afterthought to transceivers, and that is a mistake. A link is only as good as its weakest element, and the cable, the connectors and the installation practice decide whether a published module figure is achieved in practice. A dirty connector, a tight bend, a crushed jacket or a mismatched connector type can each defeat an otherwise correct module choice. The guides on this site cover connector types, outdoor and armored options, and single-mode against multimode practice, and they are worth reading before ordering cable as well as modules.
The fully specified cable in this series is the CPRI cable SM 60m, whose detail page states an outdoor cabling application, jacket sizes of 7.0mm or 5.0mm, crush resistance, full water blocking rated IP67, a moisture-resistant loose tube and two fiber cores. Those characteristics belong to that cable alone. They are not shared with the CPRI cable MM 3m or the fiber optic patch cord SM, and a buyer who needs characteristics for one of those titles should ask for them during the inquiry.
The companion titles deserve a short note each. The CPRI cable MM 3m is the multimode companion to the single-mode 60m cable, and its name states its fiber type and length, but no further characteristics have been published for it on this site. The fiber optic patch cord SM is the single-mode patch cord title in the catalogue, listed here without published figures. Neither title is given figures borrowed from the SM 60m cable, because the three cables differ in fiber type, length and application, and borrowing figures across them would be inventing specifications.
Before ordering, confirm quantity, price and delivery time during the inquiry. Certificates are available upon request. If you need characteristics for a cable title that has no detail page, state the title and the installation environment it will serve.
